Aims and Objectives:

1. The society shall be a non-profit organisation for promoting and advancing scientific knowledge and research in GI-oncology and increasing awareness of GI-oncology amongst physicians, scientists, patients, and other stakeholders.

2. Increase interdisciplinary interactions among all stakeholders dealing with GI-oncology at the national and international levels.

3. To encourage basic and clinical research in GI-oncology and help translate laboratory discoveries to patient care.

4. To assist government and non-governmental agencies in all matters pertaining to GI-oncology.

5. To increase public awareness about GI-oncology and actively promote continuing education to disseminate state-of-the-art knowledge on the basic research and treatment of cancer using GI-oncology.

6. To strive to develop guidelines on the development and management of various aspects of GI-oncology
